18.03.20 – Current process for appointments, prescriptions etc.

Please be aware we will implement changes daily/weekly over the coming months in response to Coronavirus (Covid-19) and will keep you informed every step of the way.  Please do not be alarmed, this is to protect vulnerable groups, patients and staff.

Currently concerning appointments (including routine and bookable on the day) we will be contacting you shortly informing you of imminent changes due to take affect.  If you have booked an appointment we will be in touch shortly to discuss if and how this affects you.

Concerning prescription requests  please complete your repeat slip or jot down your request on a piece of paper and post this through the front door at either  site.  If you have online access you can request this online or email us the request – see below for details.

Sick note requests, patients by law can self certify for the first 7 days.  After 7 days, it is for the employer to determine what evidence they require, if any, considering the current situation employers should be more lenient.   The government are in the process of developing an alternative form of evidence to the fit note. These will shortly be available through NHS 111 online. In the meantime employers should respect your genuine need to stay at home and follow government advice and show flexibility in the evidence they require from you.

If you have any queries please email us on [email protected] and we will respond accordingly.
